DESCRIPTION:The Flint & Genesee Tourism Ambassador Program is a multi-faceted program that serves to increase tourism by inspiring front-line employees and volunteers to turn every visitor encounter into a positive experience. When visitors have a positive experience they are more likely to return in the future and also share their experience with others. Everyone benefits the visitor\, the industry\, the local economy\, and most importantly\, the front-line worker.\n\n\n\nProgram Curriculum\\n\\n\n\n\n Module 1: The Power of Tourism\n Module 2: Discovering Flint & Genesee\n Module 3: Knowing\, Finding\, Using Resources\n Module 4: Exceeding Customer Expectations\n\nThe curriculum is delivered through reading assignments and in-class participation.\n\n\n\nProgram Requirements\n\n\n\nEvery certification program requires successful completion of a core curriculum. The following recaps the requirements to earn the CTA designation:\n\n Complete required reading\n Attend half-day classroom session\n Complete learning assignments\n Complete open-book examination\n\nUpon successful completion\, participants will earn the Certified Tourism Ambassador designation and receive a CTA certificate and lapel pin.
