The Annual Arab Film Festival

The following films will be shown: 

The Insult (Feature) : "In today's Beirut, a civilian dispute blown out of proportion finds Tony (Adel Karam), a Lebanese Christian, and Yasser (Kamel El Basha), a Palestinian refugee, facing off in court. As the media circus surrounding the case threatens a social explosion in divided Lebanon, Tony and Yasser reconsider their values and beliefs as revelations of trauma complicate their understanding of one another."

Searching Skies (Short) : "When a Syrian refugee family is invited to a Christian family's house for Christmas dinner, they are caught between opposing viewpoints for and against their presence -- until an unexpected event suddenly occurs."

Rupture (Short) : "Rupture follows the journey of four Arab teens on their quest to find the local public pool in their new Canadian city. Introducing a cast of first time actors and survivors of war who channel their personal experiences of loss and new beginnings through a fictional narrative."
