Description
Vaccines are among the most effective ways to prevent serious disease at any age. There are a growing number of misperceptions about immunizations that have sparked a national debate about public health. Join Dr. Keith English at this Your Health Lecture to learn the facts about vaccines and the importance of immunizations on Thursday, February 23, at 7 pm, at Mott Community College’s Event Center. The Your Health Lecture Series is a collaborative community event sponsored by Mott Community College, Genesys Health System and Michigan State University College of Human Medicine Flint Campus. B. Keith English, MD, is chair of the Department of Pediatrics and Human Development at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. Dr. English achieved national acclaim for leading the Memphis community response for the 2009 H1N1 flu pandemic while at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. He is also recognized for other work in pediatrics and was named “Pediatrician of the Year” by the Tennessee chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, among other awards.
