Event Description:

Graci Harkema, Owner of Graci LLC, will lead us in a two-hour interactive virtual workshop where we will understand the business case of diversity, equity and inclusion. We will learn how to build more inclusive environments where employees are able to thrive as their authentic selves. We will learn to check and control our implicit biases and also gain effectiveness in facilitating critical conversations. 
 

Meet Our Facilitator:
Graci Harkema is the owner of Graci LLC, diversity, equity & inclusion speaking and consulting firm. She specializes in diversity, inclusion and implicit bias training and talent management within the Fortune 500, small businesses and non-profit organizations. She is dedicated to driving inclusion and integrating diversity to ensure an open and safe work environment. Graci is committed to empowering employees to perform to their potential as their true selves. Graci is passionate about serving the community by volunteering her time on LGBTQ non-profit boards and committees. She is also an avid supporter of her parents’ faith-based non-profit, Heart for Central Africa, in her hometown of Bukavu, Democratic Republic of the Congo. Graci is recognized as a 2015 and 2020 ‘40 Under Forty Business Leader of West Michigan’ and is named a 2020 honoree of ‘200 Most Powerful Business Leaders of West Michigan’ by Grand Rapids Business Journal. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations from Grand Valley State University.
